Looking for a New Year's Resolution to Improve Your Health?

New Year, New You
Feeling the "new year, new you" impulse but don't know where to start?

Here's a fun list to get the brainstorm going:
    1. Drink more water.
    2. Get enough sleep.
    3. Meditate.
    4. Pick exercises you enjoy.
    5. Eat more fruits.
    6. Eat more vegetables.
    7. Cut down on processed food.
    8. Love yourself.
    9. Purge negativity from yourself.
    10. Breathe. Deeply.
    11. Address emotional eating issues.
    12. Live a life with purpose.
    13. Improve your posture.
    14. Cut out soda.
    15. Learn to cook for joy.
    16. Bring a water bottle everywhere.
    17. Eat at the salad bar more often.
    18. Learn to say no.
    19. Stop smoking.
    20. Have healthy snacks.
    21. Try juicing.
    22. Try fruit & veggie smoothies.
    23. Get out more often.
    24. Exercise good dental hygiene.
    25. Hang out with healthy people.
    26. Join classes.
    27. Get plenty of sunlight.
    28. Practice random acts of kindness.
    29. Practice the art of appreciation.
    30. Eat a balanced diet.
    31. Exercise your smile.
While they all sound like wonderful ideas, I suggest just picking one to start - this will help avoid the Week 2 failure and subsequent pity party. Pick a little guy and build some momentum during January, then add another for February.  Let the little guys build on each other and then work out your plan of attack for something bigger. Everyone is different - different folk will find different things easy and hard - be flexible and compassionate with yourself!

Myself, I'm starting with getting more serious and consistent with my meditation habit. Right now I'm pretty much all over the road with it, but I do know when I'm doing just five minutes a day most days I am calmer and more confident. January's goal is to meditate five minutes each day for at least 25 of the 31 days of the month! I'm keeping myself accountable using my 2020 Meditation Tracker, see it here.

How are you going to get the ball rolling?

Do You Want an Inspired 2020?

Inspired 2020 I'm so excited to start using next year's planner!  It's built to help you assess each month and come up with a plan for where you need to focus the most. I don't know about you, but I tend to get obsessed with one area and ignore the rest... to my detriment.  I designed this specifically to help me keep the overall in balance by starting each month with a self-assessment life wheel tool and then helping me think through what I want to do to help build out the section of the pie needing the most work. Then at the end of the month there's a page to take a minute to think about how you did, what worked, what didn't, and most importantly, picking how you're going to celebrate your month of work!!! Remember to dream big, create your own happiness, and look forward to an inspired 2020!

List of Annual Tracker Ideas for your Bullet Journal

Or at least no one I want to know!! 😆 If you've never tried this, you don't know what you're missing! Or maybe you're here looking for a new idea - because of course, more trackers = more glory .  If a year long tracker is a new thing for you, here's the breakdown. It's a layout where the entire year of whatever you want to track is on one page - yep, one page. Usually each day gets a square, and there is a legend to code each day into your designated result. Check out the examples because, as usual, a picture is worth a thousand words. Enough jibber-jabber, let's get to the inspiration!
